# Common Errors and Solutions
Quick solutions to the most frequent Faktevo issues.
## Connection Errors
### "Stripe connection failed"
**Causes:**
- Invalid or expired OAuth token
- Stripe API access disabled
- Network connectivity issues
**Solutions:**
1. Disconnect and reconnect your Stripe account
2. Check Stripe dashboard for API access settings
3. Verify your network firewall allows Faktevo connections
4. Wait 5 minutes and try again
### "Platform API authentication failed"
**Causes:**
- Incorrect API token or credentials
- Token expired or revoked
- Account permissions changed
**Solutions:**
1. Regenerate API token in your platform
2. Re-enter credentials in Faktevo Settings
3. Verify API access is enabled in your platform account
4. Check that your user role has invoice permissions
## Invoice Generation Errors
### "Invoice creation failed"
**Causes:**
- Missing customer information
- Invalid VAT number format
- Platform API rate limit exceeded
- Duplicate invoice detected
**Solutions:**
1. Ensure Stripe charge includes customer email
2. Verify customer data is complete in Stripe
3. Check for duplicate transactions
4. Wait 15 minutes and retry manually
5. Contact support if issue persists
### "VAT validation failed"
**Causes:**
- Invalid VAT number format
- VAT number not registered in EU database
- Customer country not supported
**Solutions:**
1. Verify VAT number format (PL + 10 digits for Polish)
2. Check EU VIES database for validity
3. Update customer VAT in Stripe
4. For non-EU customers, leave VAT field empty
## Sync Issues
### "Invoices delayed or not generating"
**Causes:**
- High processing volume
- Platform API temporarily unavailable
- Sync paused in settings
**Solutions:**
1. Check Settings > Stripe to confirm sync is active
2. Verify recent Stripe charges exist
3. Click "Sync Now" to force immediate sync
4. Allow up to 10 minutes during high volume
5. Check status page for platform outages
### "Missing transactions"
**Causes:**
- Transaction older than sync start date
- Charge was refunded before invoice creation
- Charge marked as "test" in Stripe
**Solutions:**
1. Check transaction date vs. Faktevo connection date
2. Verify charge was not refunded immediately
3. Test mode charges are ignored (by design)
4. Manually create invoice in your platform if needed
## Account Issues
### "Cannot log in"
**Causes:**
- Incorrect email or password
- Account not verified
- Browser cookies disabled
**Solutions:**
1. Use "Forgot Password" to reset
2. Check email for verification link
3. Enable cookies in browser
4. Try incognito/private browsing mode
5. Clear browser cache
### "Subscription payment failed"
**Causes:**
- Credit card expired
- Insufficient funds
- Bank declined payment
**Solutions:**
1. Update payment method in Settings > Billing
2. Check with your bank for declined reasons
3. Try alternative payment method
4. Contact support for manual billing
